David
joined the firm in 1978, becoming a partner in 1985. He graduated
cum laude from Brooklyn College in 1974 with a B.A. in English.
He then attended Brooklyn Law School, receiving his J.D. in 1977.
He finished in the top 15% of his class at Brooklyn Law School,
and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. David co-chairs
our litigation, real estate and securities arbitration practices,
where he has extensive experience in representing broker-dealers,
customers and account executives. David also presides over all
firm general commercial litigation in state and federal courts
at both the trial and appellate levels.
David is a member of the bar of the State of New York, and is
admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern,
Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of
Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Tax Court. He serves
as an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
David was formerly the Chairperson of the Securities Law Committee
of the Nassau County Bar Association and a member of the Trial
Lawyers, General Practice and Commercial and Federal Litigation
Sections of the New York State Bar Association and has lectured
and written for PIABA.
In addition to serving as co-chair of the firm’s real estate
practice, David serves as private legal counsel to two real estate
management companies in NYC and Long Island.
